Why We Do What We Do
In the land of flooding rains, we believe the built environment should work with nature, not against it.
We deliver fit-for-purpose engineering solutions that balance the needs of our communities with the natural environment, while identifying and managing civil infrastructure risks to achieve safe, sustainable and resilient outcomes.
Key Staff
Luke McAvoy
Managing Director
Luke has almost a decade of experience working as a water resources engineer in both the public and private sectors. He has worked in both technical and management roles within the field and brings this experience to Monsoon Engineering.
A background of being a product of one of the wettest parts of Australia helps understand stormwater and flooding and how they impact our everyday lives and the built environment.
In addition to his workplace experience, Luke has also authored and co-authored academic papers on both hydrology and coastal engineering which have been presented at both the Hydrology and Water Resources Symposium and the New South Wales Coastal Conference.
